Horse Motel

your hostess, Kris Cooper, in the Lost Creek Wilderness

We welcome visiting horses, that are accompanying our guests - whether you are just passing though, enjoying our Rocky Mountain trails or taking dressage lessons.

Your innkeepers held a special-use outfitter-guide permit with the Pike National Forest for twelve years.  We know the trails!  We can advise you on trails that might best meet your needs.  How easy/hard are they?  Where can you camp with horses?  How fit does your horse need to be?  Where are the best views?  How long does it take to get to the trailhead?  How long is the trail?  Instead of just going it alone, please make use of our many years of experience in the high country.  It took us a long time to learn what the best trails are.  Now we can share our wisdom with you!

Please take the opportunity while you are here to take lessons with your horse.  Why not benefit from our sixty plus years of experience as instructors and trainers?  Dressage, as you know, can benefit any horse.  Dressage can make him more responsive, more athletic, better balanced, more flexible and stronger.

Bring your horse to one of our dressage clinics!

Our rates for nightly horse boarding are $20/night. This includes feed, bedding and stall cleaning.  This daily rate for our "horse motel" only applies to travelers who stay in our B&B.  (We also board horses on a monthly basis for local horse owners who train at Anchorage Farm.)
