Use Anchorage Farm, a B and B in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, as your
base camp for adventure all year. Enjoy fly fishing, hiking, mountain
biking, mountain climbing, backpacking, rafting, kayaking. The
nearby foothills communities of Evergreen, Conifer and Bailey offer sightseeing,
shopping, and dining. Winter brings ice skating, snow shoeing, sledding, down hill and cross country
skiing.
In the summer, you can drive to the top of Mt. Evans. At over
14,000', it's the highest automobile road on earth!
You're almost guaranteed to see big horn sheep or mountain goat.
Take a self-guided nature walk through the oldest living thing on earth
-- the bristle cone pines. Great fly fishing abounds nearby, also
hiking and plenty of sight-seeing.
Or drive the Scenic Byway over Guanella Pass.
Marvel at South Park. Shop and dine in quaint mountain towns.
Day trips take you to kayaking, gondola rides, narrow gauge train trips,
gold mines -- not to mention the city. Downtown Denver is less than
an hour away.
